Job Title: Regulatory and Compliance Head
Reports To: President/CEO or Chief Operating Officer
Job Summary:
The Regulatory and Compliance Head is responsible for overseeing the company's compliance with all applicable local and international laws, regulations, and industry standards relevant to toll manufacturing operations. This role ensures that the organization maintains ethical integrity while meeting regulatory obligations across government agencies, health and safety standards, and environmental requirements. The position is also tasked with developing, implementing, and monitoring internal compliance policies and regulatory strategies to mitigate risk and uphold operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's regulatory and compliance framework.
- Ensure full compliance with relevant Philippine laws and regulations (e.g., FDA, DENR, DOLE, BOC, BIR, PEZA/BOI, LGU permits).
- Monitor updates and changes in regulations affecting manufacturing operations, products, packaging, labeling, transport, waste management, etc.
- Coordinate with relevant departments (e.g., Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Finance) to ensure regulatory compliance is integrated into daily operations.
- Prepare, review, and submit necessary permits, licenses, and compliance documents to appropriate government agencies.
- Conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments to identify potential areas of non-compliance and recommend corrective actions.
- Act as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies and external auditors.
- Provide compliance training and awareness programs across the organization.
- Investigate compliance issues and ensure proper resolution and documentation.
- Maintain organized records of regulatory submissions, approvals, licenses, and correspondence.
- Support the launch of new products or services by ensuring all legal and regulatory requirements are met.
- Lead the development and enforcement of company policies, codes of conduct, and standard operating procedures related to compliance.
Qualifications:
- At least 710 years of progressive experience in regulatory affairs, legal compliance, or quality assurance, preferably in the manufacturing sector.
- In-depth knowledge of Philippine regulatory landscape and industry-specific standards.
- Experience interfacing with regulatory agencies such as FDA, DOLE, DENR, BIR, and other government bodies.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- High level of integrity, ethical standards, and attention to detail.
