Consumer Retail Portfolio – International Markets
About the Role
Axelum Resources Corp. is expanding its consumer retail export business, beginning with the launch of Fiesta Fresh Coco Gata in international markets serving overseas Filipino communities.
We are looking for an Export Business Development Officer who will lead the development of our retail distribution network by identifying market opportunities, appointing distributors and importers, securing retail listings, and driving commercial performance across assigned international markets.
This is a unique opportunity to help build Axelum's consumer retail export business from the ground up. The distribution network, retail partnerships, and market strategies you establish today will serve as the foundation for the company's long-term international growth.
What You'll Do:
Market & Channel Development
- Identify and prioritize international markets with strong overseas Filipino communities.
- Source, evaluate, and appoint retail distributors, importers, and wholesalers.
- Secure listings with grocery chains, Asian supermarkets, and independent ethnic retailers.
- Develop market entry and channel expansion plans.
Distributor & Account Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and importers.
- Conduct regular business reviews focused on sell-in and sell-out performance.
- Monitor inventory and replenishment to ensure consistent product availability.
- Resolve trade concerns including quality claims, returns, and documentation.
Sales Forecasting & Demand Planning
- Develop bottom-up sales forecasts by market and account using distributor orders and sell-through data.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain to ensure product availability.
- Monitor forecast accuracy and provide insights for management planning.
Portfolio & Route-to-Market Development
- Design scalable and repeatable route-to-market strategies for future product expansion.
- Gather market intelligence and consumer insights to support business growth.
- Contribute to the ongoing development of Axelum's consumer retail strategy.
Reporting & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with market-specific packaging, labeling, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare regular sales, distribution, pricing, and market performance reports.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field.
- 3–6+ years of experience in export sales, retail business development, or trade marketing, preferably within FMCG or food & beverage.
- Experience working with international distributors, importers, and retail partners.
- Strong understanding of retail trade dynamics and export business operations.
- Experience in sales forecasting and demand planning.
- Exposure to Asian or ethnic grocery channels is highly preferred; experience serving Filipino community markets is a strong advantage.
- Excellent relationship management, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Willing to travel internationally.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English with international customers, distributors, and business partners
