About the Role
The Expert Test Engineer is responsible for leading test strategy and automation across multiple teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. This role exists to drive faster and more efficient delivery by building robust automation frameworks that cover most testing activities, reducing manual effort while maintaining product quality. It also supports project success through release coordination, reporting, and risk management.
How you'll contribute
- Define and lead the overall test automation strategy across multiple teams to ensure alignment with project goals and consistent quality practices.
- Design and build scalable, reusable automation frameworks that support efficient testing across UI, API, and backend services.
- Drive faster delivery cycles by automating critical test coverage while maintaining high product quality.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to QA teams to strengthen automation skills and promote a quality-first culture.
- Coordinate testing efforts and support release readiness to ensure smooth, on-time software deliveries.
- Report quality metrics and assess risks to inform leadership of project status, potential issues, and recommended actions.
What we're looking for
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in Agile development environments, including working across multiple squads or cross-functional teams.
- Solid technical background and coding mindset, with hands-on experience in building and maintaining automated test frameworks.
- Strong coding skills in at least one programming language; Java, Python and JavaScript.
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex systems and identify potential quality risks early.
- Deep understanding of software development life cycle and quality assurance best practices, with proven experience in ensuring product quality throughout delivery.
- Deep experience with at least one of the ff. automation testing framework: (Katalon, Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, API Testing, CI/CD Tools
- Experience testing distributed systems, cloud-native apps.
