Job Summary
We are seeking an
Experienced Audit Associate to join our growing Audit team. This role is ideal for professionals with solid external audit experience who are looking to further develop their technical expertise while working on diverse audit engagements.
As an Experienced Audit Associate, you will perform audit procedures across various industries, collaborate with senior team members and managers, and contribute to delivering high-quality audit services. You will also have opportunities for continuous learning, professional development, and exposure to international audit engagements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute external audit engagements, including financial statement audits, reviews, and other assurance services.
- Perform audit testing, substantive procedures, and analytical reviews for assigned audit areas.
- Prepare complete and accurate audit working papers in accordance with firm standards and applicable auditing standards.
- Identify financial reporting issues, audit risks, and internal control deficiencies, and communicate findings to senior team members.
- Assist in planning audit engagements and monitoring engagement progress to meet deadlines.
- Coordinate with clients to obtain audit requirements and resolve audit queries.
- Ensure compliance with firm methodologies, quality standards, and professional ethics.
- Utilize audit software such as CaseWare to document and manage audit engagements.
- Support the coaching and guidance of junior associates when necessary.
- Stay updated on accounting standards, auditing standards, and regulatory developments.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy.
- 2–4 years of solid experience in external auditing, preferably from an accounting or professional services firm.
- Must be willing to work onsite in Makati City.
- Candidates who can start immediately are highly preferred.
- CPA license is an advantage but not required.
- Experience with CaseWare is an advantage.
- Exposure to Australian or international audit engagements is a plus.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA).
- Good knowledge of external audit methodologies and risk assessment procedures.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to audit quality.
- Effective written and verbal English communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
