Role Description

This is a full-time on-site position based in Lapu-Lapu for the role of Executive Sous Chef. The Executive Sous Chef will assist in planning, developing, and overseeing the preparation of meals and kitchen operations. Responsibilities include supervising kitchen staff, ensuring high-quality and consistent food production, monitoring food storage, and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations. The role also involves managing inventory, coordinating with suppliers, training staff, and creating innovative menus in alignment with the resort's standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience in culinary arts, menu creation, and food preparation
  • Leadership and team management skills, such as training, mentoring, and organizing kitchen staff
  • Expertise in food safety, hygiene, and maintaining compliance with health regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving, time management, and organization skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure kitchen environment
  • Proficiency in inventory management and cost control
  • Prior experience in hospitality or resort settings is a plus
  • Culinary Arts degree or similar formal training is preferred
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
