WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We're looking for a lawyer who wants to work directly with one principal rather than manage a portfolio independently. You'll be in the room where decisions are made—advising clients, attending high-level government meetings, preparing legal strategy, coordinating with partners and associates, and helping oversee the firm's work. This role offers exceptional exposure to corporate practice, public service, legislative work, media, and executive decision-making. It is designed for someone who wants to accelerate their growth through close mentorship while taking on real responsibility.Executive Legal Counsel handles and filters content, legal preparation, documents, briefings before reaching the principal.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:1. Executive AdviserBefore every meeting:- Prepare comprehensive briefing materials before meetings, including legal risks, talking points, strategic recommendations, and anticipated questions.After every meeting:- Follow up by tracking action items, deadlines after meetings2 Legal StrategyRun research on:- Difficult issues- Legal Opinions- New legislation- Regulatory concerns3. Government Liaison- accompany the principal during engagements with government agencies, Congress, regulators, and other public institutions.- Coordinate professionally with government officials, stakeholders, and external partners.4. Firm Oversight- Tracks every active matter and does follow up for associates and partners if only needed5. Writing- Drafts legal opinions, position papers, memos, letters, proposals, presentations, and would coordinate other lawyers, associates, and staff assigned for other matters and filters.- Drafts some initial presentation and oversees team assigned for research for consultancy6. Executive Office- Work closely with the Executive Assistant to ensure the principal is fully prepared for meetings, engagements, and strategic initiatives.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU:- Juris Doctor degree and admitted to the Philippine Bar.- 2–6 years of legal practice.
Experience in one or more of the following:- Corporate law- Regulatory compliance- Government transactions- Procurement- Legislative work- Regulatory agencies- Commercial contracts- Corporate governance- Strong legal research, drafting, and analytical skills.- Confident in providing legal advice while remaining open to coaching and continuous learning.- Willing to travel and accompany the principal to meetings and engagements.
