JOB DESCRIPTION:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Daily Operations
Tax Compliance and Reporting:
- Do all tax-related compliance activities, ensuring the accurate and timely submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns.
- Ensure adherence to relevant tax laws, regulations, and deadlines, mitigating compliance risks.
- Provide strategic oversight of tax reporting and compliance processes in alignment with Group Tax requirements.
- Help the tax manager Implement and enhance tax policies and procedures to ensure best practices and compliance.
Tax Planning and Strategy:
- Collaborate with external consultants and legal advisors to proactively address complex tax matters and minimize liabilities.
- Conduct in-depth tax analysis to identify opportunities for strategic tax planning and optimization.
- Help the tax manager to develop tax strategies to support business objectives while ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Provide expert guidance to internal stakeholders on tax implications of business transactions and regulatory changes.
Other:
- Act, along with the tax manager, as the representative for tax audits, examinations, and inquiries from tax authorities.
- Help with negotiations and resolutions for tax disputes, ensuring well-documented and strategic responses.
- Foster strong relationships with regulatory bodies, including the BIR and local government units.
- Prepare reconciliations, tax schedules, and documentation relevant for tax compliance and tax audit processes.
- Help the tax manager to identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency of tax operations.
- Drive and oversee strategic tax projects and initiatives.
- Help other departments for tax advisory and tax related concerns
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Graduate of BS in Accountancy or related course
2. CPA an advantage, but not required
3. Minimum of 3-5 years related experience
4. Has knowledge in different Finance systems
5. Has initiative, result-driven
