Role Description
This is a full-time remote Executive Assistant Paralegal role. In this position, you will support legal and administrative functions by conducting in-depth research and maintaining records. You will ensure communication flows smoothly between relevant parties while reading and organizing emails, managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and tracking deadlines. Additional responsibilities include assisting with administrative tasks related to legal cases and ensuring all documentation is accurate and organized.
- Document Preparation: Draft, revise, and proofread legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and other documents as needed.
- Docket Maintenance: Save docket files, rename files, and maintain an organized case file for each client
- Client Communication: Handle client inquiries, schedule appointments, and maintain professional communication.
- Case Management: Organize and maintain case files, track deadlines, and ensure all case-related documents are up-to-date.
- Research: Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information as needed.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform general clerical duties such as data entry, managing phone calls, managing emails, and preparing reports.
- Coordination: Assist attorneys with court filings, scheduling meetings, and managing calendars.
- Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of all case information and adhere to the firm's policies and procedures.
- Hours of work: The Contractor shall render a total of eight (8) hours per day of work from Monday to Friday anytime from 8 AM to 8 PM CST.
Qualifications
- Background in Law and experience with Legal Document Preparation, preferably with three (3) years of experience
- Strong Communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders
- Proficiency in Research and Document Review to ensure accuracy and thoroughness
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines
- Proficiency in using legal research tools and office technology
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Legal Studies, or a related field preferred
- Prior experience as an Executive Assistant or Paralegal is highly beneficial
