Job Description

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the accurate and timely preparation and filing of all required tax returns
  • Tax Returns Reconciliation (GL vs MAP / Relief) and provide necessary adjustments
  • Preparation of EZMPR reports and PEZA Annual Reports
  • Ensure proper tax documentation (e.g., e-invoicing) and reporting procedures
  • Coordinate with external auditors and government agencies during tax examinations and assessments
  • Prepare necessary supporting documents during tax assessment, perform tax account reconciliations, and resolve discrepancies in financial records
  • Analyze financial statements and transactions to ensure accuracy and identify potential tax-related issues
  • Work hand in hand in the month-end and year-end closing process, including journal entries
  • Asset management aligned with PEZA and financial reporting
  • Attend meetings related to tax audit and assessment to different BIR Offices
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and support
  • Update of Transfer Pricing Requirements and Documents
  • Manage Tax Calendar deadlines and other compliances
  • Monitor Business Permit Renewal
  • Monitor changes in Philippine tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company's operations
  • Handles the annual BIR updates
  • Handles compliances with SEC

Qualifications


To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty consistently and satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the skill, knowledge and/or ability required.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in general accounting functions, preferably with BPO and Shared Services
  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy required
  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP
  • Advance skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook and accounting software preferably Oracle
  • Interpersonal skills and work efficiently in a team environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a changing work environment
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Maintain organizational confidentiality
  • Can work on a mid-shift schedule and on a hybrid work arrangement
