General Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced ETO Consultant to support cadet development and vessel operations. This role focuses on providing technical guidance, mentoring, and remote support to ETO cadets before and during their shipboard deployment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-familiarization training for ETO Cadets prior to vessel assignment
- Provide remote monitoring, coordination, and technical guidance to ETO Cadets onboard vessels
- Assist with electrical and technical troubleshooting as needed
- Perform occasional vessel inspections when required by the principal (Cassiopeia)
- Interview electrician applicants when necessary
- Assist in developing and improving ETO training course outlines, subject to approval of the principal
- Collaborate closely with counterparts in TB Marine Germany
What We're Looking For
- Qualified or experienced Electro-Technical Officer (ETO) or marine electrical professional
- Strong knowledge of shipboard electrical, automation, and control systems
- Experience in troubleshooting marine electrical systems
- Ability to mentor cadets and junior technical staff
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Willingness to support both remote and occasional onboard assignments
