Job Title: DataStage Developer
Location: BGC Taguig, Philippines (Onsite)
Role Overview
The Datastage Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes using IBM DataStage to support enterprise data integration needs. This role ensures data accuracy, consistency, and availability across retail and banking systems, enabling business intelligence and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize ETL workflows using IBM DataStage.
- Collaborate with business analysts, data architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple sources (DB2, Oracle, flat files, etc.).
- Conduct unit testing, debugging, and performance tuning of DataStage jobs.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and implement fixes in a timely manner.
- Document ETL processes, workflows, and technical specifications.
- Participate in system upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in ETL development with IBM DataStage.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server).
- Proficiency in SQL scripting and performance tuning.
- Experience with data warehousing concepts, BI tools, and enterprise integration.
- Familiarity with scheduling tools (e.g., Control-M) and version control systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in retail or banking IT environments.
- Knowledge of cloud-based data integration platforms.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
