Job Summary
The estimator is responsible for managing and delivering accurate and timely project estimates throughout the tendering process, while supporting technical compliance in waterproofing designs. The role includes technical drawing reviews and documentation and providing quotes on waterproofing compliance in line with the Australian standards and NCC Vol 1&2. This position requires self-management, strong communication to professional excellence and alignment with the company's vision and values.
Education/Qualifications
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field or relevant experience
- Knowledge of AS4654.1, AS4858 and the NCC Vol 1 & 2 is preferred
Skills and Experience
- Proficient understanding of Australian waterproofing standards, NCC requirement and industry compliance requirements
- Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam for markups and design reviews
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience preparing and reviewing compliance documentation and quotes
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a professional and collaborative team
- Strong attention to detail
- Efficient use of Scoro to produce quotes and log all communications
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide and manage cost estimates throughout the tendering process and during sales engagement
- Stay up-to-date with building codes, waterproofing standards and compliance requirements
- Deliver quotes in line with the relevant standards
- Ensure accuracy in quoting, following procedures and file management
- Work independently and professionally within a knowledge sharing team
