Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing requirements documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the projects.
  • Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or products.
  • Creating labor estimates for the projects
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors.
  • Managing bids from vendors and contractors
  • Using bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis
  • Present and communicate cost estimates to senior management, taking full ownership of the estimate and its underlying details
  • Compiling and recording actual costs

Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years experience in first principles estimating methodologies
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in on-site construction operations
  • Proficient in software tools including InEight Estimate, MS Excel and Bluebeam
  • Demonstrates strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Highly self-motivated, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential issues early to ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
  • Able to understand technical specifications and drawings
  • Possesses a strong understanding of work sites and the challenges associated with on-site operations
  • Assess and populate a first principles risk assessment including detailed descriptions and pricing the same (not a Montecarlo approach)
