This role is ideal for a joinery specialist who enjoys turning enquiries into competitive, well-costed quotations, and who takes pride in getting the numbers and the detail right.

You will work closely with the Estimating Team Leader, Sales and Marketing, and our Pre-Contracts, Operations, Workshop and Site Fitting teams, as well as customers, architects, designers, sub-contractors and suppliers.

What You'll Be Doing

As an Estimator, you'll manage your own diary and meetings, and take ownership of pricing bespoke joinery projects from enquiry through to tender.

Estimating & Quotation

• Provide competitive estimates for bespoke windows, doors, cabinetry and staircase joinery packages
• Use internal estimating and take-off systems to accurately cost each project or enquiry
• Check tender documents and make amendments where required
• Abstract information into subcontract and material packages
• Identify scope for design alternatives and value engineering

Tender & Supply Chain Coordination

• Liaise with the Sales, Marketing and Estimating team throughout the tender process
• Produce sub-contract and material enquiries for bespoke joinery
• Answer sub-contractor and supplier queries and appraise quotations

What We're Looking For

• At least 5 years experience working as a Joinery Estimator
• Knowledge of joinery applications in cabinetry, doors and windows
• Strong numerical skills and the ability to interpret data
• Ability to read technical drawings
• A good understanding of the manufacturing process and site installations
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Proactive in managing your own workload, with excellent time and task management
• Positive, goal-driven and comfortable working under pressure, without supervision, and as part of a team
• Comfortable handling confidential information
• City & Guilds Advanced Carpentry and Joinery, plus City & Guilds certificates in 2D and 3D AutoCAD
• An understanding of sales process engineering is a plus
• An understanding of contracts law is a plus
• Experience with AutoCAD is a plus
• Previous use of sales and estimating software such as JoinerySoft is a plus
• A City & Guilds in Carpentry & Joinery is a plus
• Previous experience as a Joiner or Carpenter, site fixer, or in setting out is a plus
• Willingness to work in UK business hours
• Must be willing to work onsite in Angeles City, Pampanga
