About the Client

An established Australian shed and steel building manufacturer selling direct to residential and rural customers nationally. The business runs lean, with quoting volume that regularly outpaces the current team's capacity. Fast-moving, hands-on, and looking for someone who can own the numbers so the owner can focus on the client relationship.

The Opportunity

You'll own the end-to-end quoting process for incoming shed enquiries, turning client requirements into accurate, priced designs the business can send out with confidence, freeing up the owner to focus on sales and client conversations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design sheds inside the client's proprietary quoting system, placing roller doors, windows, insulation, and mezzanines to match client specs
• Calculate accurate kit pricing and apply supplied concrete, build, and council rates to finalise each quote
• Manage a live pipeline of leads, converting client requirements into completed quotes within a 24-48 hour turnaround
• Handle re-quotes and change requests as client needs shift
• Flag anything unclear rather than guess, escalating complex jobs that fall outside standard parameters
• Build toward sending completed quotes independently as your accuracy and confidence grow

Must-Have Qualifications

Before you apply, confirm:

• You have 3+ years of experience in CAD drafting, construction estimating, or quoting/take-off work
• You're comfortable learning a new proprietary quoting system through structured video training and hands-on practice
• You can commit to full-time hours aligned with Australian business hours
• You have a reliable internet connection and a professional remote work setup
• Your written and spoken English is business-fluent, suited to reviewing detailed client specifications

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Salesforce or a similar CRM
• Prior exposure to steel building, shed, or similar construction product quoting
