Estimator Fire Service & Defects (AU Client)

A fire protection business with active operations across the Northern Territory and South Australia needs a technically grounded estimator to own their defect quoting function — remotely, from the Philippines, aligned to Northern Territory business hours.

It is a focused, high-ownership role for someone who understands fire protection systems well enough to read a technician's field report, interpret the defect, and price the rectification accurately without hand-holding. THE ROLE

You will manage the end-to-end defect estimating function for fire protection maintenance operations spanning the Northern Territory and South Australia. Day to day, that means working directly inside Uptick — reviewing technician reports, inspection findings, photographs, and asset data — and converting those findings into accurate, competitive quotations for defect rectification and minor works. The scope covers the full range of fire protection systems: detection and alarm, sprinkler, suppression, hydrant, and portable equipment.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

▸Convert technician-logged defects and inspection findings from Uptick into accurate, competitive, and timely quotations

▸Review technician reports, photographs, and asset data within Uptick to build pricing for defect rectification works

▸Manage the defect estimating function end-to-end for Northern Territory and South Australian operations

▸Produce quotations for fire protection defect and minor works scopes including detection and alarm, sprinkler, suppression, hydrant, and portable equipment

▸Work aligned to Northern Territory business hours (Australian Central Standard Time) from a remote Philippines-based home office

WHAT YOU BRING

✔Working proficiency in Uptick, or strong demonstrable experience with equivalent fire compliance and asset management platforms

✔Demonstrated estimating fundamentals with the ability to interpret technical field reports and translate findings into accurate pricing

✔Hands-on experience in fire services, building services, or a closely related trade-based maintenance environment

✔A working understanding of fire protection systems across detection and alarm, sprinkler, suppression, hydrant, and portable equipment categories

✔The discipline and setup to work reliably to Northern Territory business hours from a dedicated home office in the Philippines
