As ESS Technical Development Supervisor, you will be the primary technical architect for Energy Storage System (ESS) projects during the origination and development phases. The main responsibility is to define what is built to maximize project value. This role bridges the gap between commercial objectives and technical feasibility, ensuring ESS projects are optimized for size, technology, and grid compliance before moving to the execution stage and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. You will work closely with the team to deliver results, create positive community impact, and develop your skills in a supportive, purpose-driven environment.

To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:
- Has strong techno-economic and analytical capabilities, able to model, size, and optimize ESS solutions while translating complex technical data into sound business and investment decisions
- Demonstrates deep technical expertise in energy storage systems, including battery technologies, grid interconnection requirements, and safety standards, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and design validation
- Is a proactive collaborator and communicator, capable of effectively working with cross-functional teams, external partners, and government stakeholders to drive project development and ensure alignment from feasibility to permitting stages
- Exhibits ownership, adaptability, and a strong sense of accountability, thriving in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes consistently
- Ability to translate complex technical constraints into clear commercial advice for financial analysts and developers.
What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- 5 years of related experience, with at least 2 years experience in a Battery Energy Storage System
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Deep understanding of Li-Ion degradation curves and thermal management.
- Proficiency in energy modeling software (PVSyst, SAM, Python/Matlab).
- Familiarity with Grid Codes and Interconnection Standards (e.g., IEEE 1547).
