As ESS Integration and Commissioning Supervisor, you will be the technical lead during the build and energize phases. You are responsible for ensuring that the various complex sub-systems (Batteries, Inverters, EMS, HVAC) work together seamlessly as a unified power plant. You will lead the transition from engineering design to a fully operational, revenue-generating asset and contribute directly to transforming energy for a better world. In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Systems Integration (Pre-Construction)
- Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT)
- Commissioning & Energization (Site)
- Performance Validation & Handover
To Succeed in this Role, we need someone who:
- Has strong expertise in system integration, particularly in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), with a deep understanding of SCADA, PLCs, and communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850)
- Is highly analytical and hands-on, with proven experience in commissioning, testing (FAT/SAT), troubleshooting, and ensuring seamless integration of complex electrical systems
- Demonstrates strong project execution and stakeholder coordination skills, able to work with EPCs, OEMs, contractors, and internal teams across all project phases
- Prioritizes safety, quality, and compliance, with solid knowledge of HV/MV systems, electrical safety standards, and performance validation processes
What You Will Need:
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical or Control System)
- 5 years of relevant experience and 2 years in a Battery Energy Storage System
- OSHA 30 / NFPA 70E (Electrical Safety) or local equivalent preferred
Technical / Functional Skills:
- Proficiency in SCADA, PLC, and Communication Protocols (Modbus, DNP3, IEC 61850)
- Strong understanding of Power Electronics (Inverters/DC-DC converters).
- Hands-on experience with HV/MV switchgear operation and safety.
