Job Title:ESG Risk & Compliance Specialist

Location: Ortigas, Pasig, PH

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM (Hybrid | 3x Onsite, 2x WFH)

Contract Duration: 12 Months, with possibility of extension or transition to a permanent role

Job Detail:

The ESG Risk & Compliance Specialist will support the Sustainability Manager and Procurement Manager in delivering the Group's responsible procurement, ESG risk, Scope 3 supplier and climate-related risk priorities.

The role will focus on supplier ESG due diligence, modern slavery risk management, the Scope 3 supplier program, ESG data and reporting, and climate risk analysis, including supporting climate scenario assessment and stress testing. The Specialist will gather, analyse and maintain ESG risk information to identify areas of exposure, support informed decision-making, and strengthen the Group's ESG and compliance practices.

The role will collaborate with Sustainability, Procurement, Operations and other internal stakeholders to embed ESG considerations into supplier management, Scope 3 emissions management, risk processes and business decision-making, while supporting the Group's evolving regulatory and customer requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

Supplier ESG Risk & Responsible Procurement

• Analyse supplier ESG risk scores, including geographic, labour, human rights and industry risks, using Excel and other relevant tools to prioritise higher-risk suppliers for further due diligence or corrective action.
• Conduct supplier due diligence, including reviewing third-party assessments and audit reports such as SMETA, RBA VAP and other recognised ethical trade assessments, as well as internal supplier assessments.
• Support the Sustainability and Procurement Managers in addressing gaps identified through supplier ESG assessments and due diligence activities.
• Monitor supplier compliance with the Group's Supplier Code of Conduct and relevant regulatory requirements, including the Australian Modern Slavery Act 2018.
• Support supplier engagement, questionnaire/SAQ administration, risk screening and remediation activities.
• Maintain accurate supplier ESG records, evidence and risk documentation to support reporting and assurance requirements.

Scope 3 Supplier Program

• Support the delivery and continuous improvement of the Group's Scope 3 supplier program, including supplier engagement, data collection, prioritisation and emissions analysis.
• Engage with priority suppliers to improve the availability and quality of Scope 3 emissions and activity data.
• Support the implementation of supplier-specific approaches to Scope 3 emissions data collection, estimation and data improvement, where appropriate.
• Analyse supplier emissions information to identify material data gaps, emissions hotspots and potential reduction opportunities.
• Support supplier engagement initiatives aimed at improving emissions transparency and encouraging practical emissions-reduction actions across the supply chain.
• Maintain supplier Scope 3 datasets, assumptions, methodologies and supporting evidence to improve data quality and traceability over time.
• Track progress of the Scope 3 supplier program and prepare regular updates, dashboards and analysis for the Sustainability Manager and relevant stakeholders.
• Support the integration of supplier emissions considerations into responsible procurement, supplier risk assessment and broader Group sustainability initiatives.

ESG Risk, Compliance & Reporting

• Support the development and maintenance of the Group's ESG risk and compliance registers.
• Assist in improving ESG performance and external assessments, including CDP and EcoVadis, by identifying data, governance and process improvements.
• Support alignment of internal ESG processes with relevant frameworks and standards, including GRI, TCFD, GHG Protocol and ASRS.
• Monitor relevant developments in ESG regulation, risk methodologies and industry practices and identify potential implications for the Group.
• Prepare analysis, dashboards and concise reporting for the Sustainability Manager and relevant internal stakeholders.
• Support the maintenance of ESG evidence and documentation required for future reporting and assurance activities.

Climate Risk & Future Risk Analysis

• Support the Sustainability Manager in identifying and assessing physical, transition and emerging climate-related risks relevant to the Group's operations, assets, supply chain and business activities.
• Support the development and execution of climate scenario analysis and stress testing under the direction of the Sustainability Manager.
• Research relevant climate drivers, scenarios, assumptions and time horizons and support the preparation of scenario inputs.
• Analyse available operational, financial, geographic and business information to identify potential areas of climate-related exposure.
• Perform sensitivity, reasonableness and data-quality checks on climate risk assessments and identify gaps, inconsistencies or unsupported assumptions.
• Support the assessment of how selected climate risks could affect the Group across different future scenarios and time horizons.
• Assist in documenting scenario assumptions, potential impacts, vulnerabilities and existing controls in a clear and traceable manner.
• Support the maintenance of the Climate Risk Register and tracking of related mitigation actions.
• Assist in translating climate risk analysis into practical inputs for risk management, business planning and ESG reporting.

ESG Data & Internal Review

• Support ESG data collection, validation and analysis across relevant sustainability metrics.
• Perform selected data quality and process checks to identify inconsistencies, gaps or weaknesses in ESG information and supporting evidence.
• Test selected ESG data and supporting documentation against source information to improve completeness, accuracy and traceability.
• Support the identification and remediation of ESG data and process gaps.
• Assist with preparing the Group for future external assurance by maintaining appropriate evidence trails, documentation and working papers.
• Support other ESG, sustainability, risk and compliance initiatives reasonably related to the Group's ESG program, as directed by the Sustainability Manager.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, business, risk management or a related field.
• 3–5 years experience in ESG, sustainability, risk, compliance, responsible procurement, supply chain or a related field.
• Experience with supplier ESG risk, ethical sourcing, modern slavery due diligence or sustainability reporting.
• Experience or exposure to Scope 3 emissions, supplier emissions data collection or supply chain sustainability programs is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel proficiency, including pivot tables, lookups and data visualisation.
• Familiarity with ESG frameworks and standards such as GRI, TCFD, GHG Protocol, CDP and/or ASRS.
• Exposure to climate risk, scenario analysis, stress testing or physical and transition risk assessment is desirable.
• Familiarity with supplier ESG platforms or due diligence tools such as Sedex, EcoVadis or equivalent is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage ESG data, documentation and supporting evidence accurately.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Sustainability, Procurement and other internal teams, as well as external suppliers.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and operate effectively in a fast-moving and evolving business environment.
• Demonstrated ability to translate ESG and risk information into practical analysis, recommendations and actions.
