Job Summary:
We are looking for a seasoned ERP Functional Consultant (Finance) with strong business analysis capabilities and deep hands-on experience in Workday Financial Management. The ideal candidate will bring extensive functional expertise across Procure-to-Pay, Financial Accounting, AR/AP, Cash, and Integrations, and will support configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and business process optimization.
Experience Level:
- 6+ years of relevant ERP / Workday Finance experience
Key Responsibilities:
Business Analysis & Functional Consulting
- Apply standard Business Analyst skills to gather, analyze, and document business requirements
- Translate business needs into functional designs and system configurations
- Partner with finance, procurement, and business stakeholders to support end-to-end financial processes
Financial Business Process Configuration
- Configure Business Processes (BP), including but not limited to:
- Accounting Journals
- Intercompany Events
- Manage Account Posting Rules (APR):
- Add, edit, test, and validate posting rules
Custom Validations (CV)
- Configure Custom Validations and Condition Rules
- Define and manage Custom Validation Messages
- Perform unit testing and end-to-end validation of configured rules
Financial Accounting Structure Setup
- Configure and maintain:
- Company setup
- Cost centers
- Ledgers
- Journals
- Tax structures
Procure-to-Pay (P2P) & Inventory
- Support Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes including:
- Purchase Orders
- Inventory management
- Ensure accurate financial impact and system integrity across procurement flows
Cash Management
- Configure and support:
- Banking setup
- Bank reconciliation
- Cash settlements
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Configure and support:
- Customer account setup
- Customer invoices, statements, and adjustments
- Contracts
- Sales item configurations
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Configure and support:
- Supplier payments
- Bank configurations
- Match rules
Integrations
- Support Workday Financial integrations:
- Build, monitor, and troubleshoot integrations
- Investigate and resolve integration failures
Required Qualifications:
- 6+ years of experience in ERP Financial systems, preferably Workday Finance
- Strong functional knowledge of:
- Procure-to-Pay (P2P)
- Accounting, AR, AP, and Cash Management
- Hands-on experience with BP configuration, APRs, and Custom Validations
- Proven ability to troubleshoot functional and integration-related issues
- Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience as a Workday Finance Functional Consultant
- Exposure to complex multi-company or intercompany accounting structures
- Experience supporting integrations and production issue resolution
