1. Performing the Stock Investability Test to arrive at the Stock Investment Universe and ultimately the Active Stock List after final confirmation by the Head of EFM
2. Producing the Analyst Report, financial statements and valuation analysis on publicly-listed companies assigned by the Head of Research
3. Ensure publication of Stock Recommendations through Analyst Reports to TMSG / RMS
4. Ongoing Review & Maintenance of Stock Coverage to ensure stock recommendations are update and can be relied upon by the PMs and
5. Communicating his/her research output through actionable stock recommendations through Equity Investment:Forum (EIF), through QPR meetings, directly to the Head of EFM / PMs to support the attainment of fund performance objectives and other in some other occasions / venues
6. Ensure all companies with Research Coverage are compliant to AIA's ESG requirements including periodic ESG scoring under Group's proprietary rating methodology and all future ESG requirements.
Responsibility
- Conduct rigorous fundamental research and valuation analysis, including ESG considerations. Provide frequent and timely insights and updates to Portfolio Managers and Sector team colleagues. Follow up on the Investment team's queries with high priority whenever there are new corporate, industry, regulatory developments that impact the sector(s) and stocks in the coverage universe, contributing positively to the investment decisions
- Write detailed research reports on all investee companies under coverage and upload stock ratings on Bloomberg RMN/TMSG system for internal use on a regular basis
- Work closely with team colleagues to contribute to forward-looking thematic investment research
- Collaborate with sector team members across the region to contribute to the construction of model portfolio(s) that express the conviction level of the research team's stock ratings. Construct individual model portfolio for own coverage universe where required
- Draft (in case of a new one) or update or Research-related SOPs to ensure processes are compliant to AIA IGF for review and approval of CEO, subject to consultation with Head of Research and Head of Equities.
- Collaborate with Head of Research and lead the administration of Research Model Portfolio in Bloomberg
- Actively participate in broker evaluation and scoring, including ad-hoc studies and back testing of new assumptions/scoring criteria Ensure the timely and quality compliance to periodic reportorial requirements (i.e., daily, weekly, monthly reports)
- Participate actively in Group-wide and local team bonding activities Serves as deputy Head of Research Perform other tasks as directed by the Local BU CEO, Head of Research and/or Head of EFM.
