Job Description

The Environmental & Social Risk Management (ESRM) Officer is primarily responsible for the development, coordination, and implementation of the Bank's Environmental & Social Risk Management System (ESRMS), which aims to enable the Bank to prudently manage its E&S risk exposures and embed sustainability and ESRM principles in the Bank's enterprise risk management framework

Duties And Responsibilities

3.1 Process Development. Designs, coordinates, collaborates, and implements processes and related methods and tools that embed ESRM in the Bank's enterprise risk management framework.

3.2 Manuals Preparation. Drafts and reviews ESRM-related manuals such as policies, standards, procedures, and other guidelines that provide guidance in identifying, measuring, controlling, and monitoring E&S risks.

3.3 Limits Setting and Monitoring. Proposes, establishes, coordinates, and regularly monitors KRIs and limits for E&S risks (where applicable).

3.4 Risk Reporting. Prepares and submits/presents ESRM-related reports and risk management disclosures, including presentation to pertinent Management-level and Board-level Committees, and submission of disclosures for investor relations purposes.

3.5 Culture Building. Promotes a culture of E&S-responsible decision making throughout the organization through ESRM-related risk awareness and education activities.

3.6 Strategic Support. Performs other responsibilities such as special projects, ad-hoc functions, initiatives, or tasks as may be assigned by the RMO Department and Division Heads, CRO, RMCom, Sustainability Office, Sustainability Committee and Sustainable Funding Committee, or by regulators (such as BSP), from time to time.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Banking and Finance, Risk Management, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Economics, or related disciplines. Prior academic, internship, research, or project experience related to risk management, sustainability, ESG, or banking.

Relevant work experience in banking, risk management, sustainability/ESG, compliance, corporate planning, or related functions. Experience in policy development, risk assessment, reporting, data analysis, or project management.

Experience in Environmental and Social Risk Management (ESRM), sustainable finance, ESG reporting, sustainability frameworks, or regulatory compliance.
