Job Summary

We are looking for an Environmental Compliance Specialist to support our product and material compliance activities. The role will be responsible for collecting and analyzing material data, reviewing technical documents, identifying potential compliance issues, and maintaining accurate environmental compliance records and reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, review, validate, and manage material data submitted by suppliers.
• Analyze material compositions and properties to identify potential compliance concerns.
• Review and interpret Engineering Drawings, Material Specifications, and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
• Prepare accurate Full Material Declarations based on material and chemical composition data.
• Identify and report regulated or restricted chemical substances found in material declarations.
• Create and maintain environmental compliance trackers and dashboards.
• Monitor compliance status, KPIs, and areas for improvement.
• Support process improvements based on changes in environmental regulations.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve material compliance issues.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Design, Manufacturing, Sourcing, Quality, and other cross-functional teams.
• Support environmental compliance tools, reporting, and documentation.
• Provide backup support to ensure continuity of operations and participate in Business Continuity Plan (BCP) initiatives.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with 1–2 years of experience in material compliance are welcome to apply.
• Strong knowledge of material compositions and properties of chemical compounds.
• Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings, Specifications, and Material Data Sheets.
• Proficient in Google Workspace, including Google Sheets, Docs, Gmail, Drive, and Slides.
• Basic programming knowledge and experience creating macros using Google Apps Script is an advantage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Good presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Willing to work on any shift and in a hybrid/blended work arrangement.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in product, material, environmental, or regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with environmental regulations and restricted substance requirements.
• Experience working with supplier material declarations or compliance documentation.
• Knowledge of compliance tracking tools or databases.
