Role Overview
We are seeking an Entrepreneur-in-Residence (potential Chief Executive Officer) to build and/or lead and scale our ventures.
You will own platform strategy, commercialization, capital strategy, operational scale, and ecosystem growth.
This role requires someone who has built and scaled early-stage ventures before, understands how to drive adoption across multiple ecosystem players, and knows how to move from pilots to high-volume deployment without breaking operations.
Business & Platform Strategy
- Define and refine the 3–5 year strategic roadmap to achieve platform scale
- Articulate a clear competitive thesis and defensible moat
- Drive commercialization and sustainable customer acquisition
- Design repeatable deployment and onboarding models
- Test and iterate on key assumptions around unit economics and capital efficiency
- Ensure strategic alignment with 1882 and AboitizPower while maintaining venture agility
Go-To-Market & Network Growth
- Build and scale customer acquisition channels across residential, C&I, or mobility segments
- Develop and grow installer, developer, EPC, and financing partner networks
- Drive early commercial traction and personally close key anchor customers if required
- Standardize workflows to enable scalable transaction volume
- Transition from pilot deployments to repeatable, systemized growth
Capital Strategy & Financing
- Design and manage the venture's capital stack (equity, project finance, structured facilities)
- Structure scalable financing mechanisms for distributed energy assets
- Engage banks, DFIs, infrastructure funds, and credit providers
- Prepare board and investor materials, including performance updates and forecasts
- Ensure capital discipline while enabling growth
Operations & Systems
- Build scalable operating systems across deployment, monitoring, and maintenance
- Implement data-driven performance tracking across assets and portfolio
- Develop dashboards and reporting infrastructure for internal and external stakeholders
- Ensure operational resilience as transaction volumes increase
- Maintain strong risk management and compliance frameworks
Leadership & Governance
- Recruit and develop a high-performance leadership team
- Foster a culture of ownership, execution, and integrity
- Lead board reporting and governance processes
- Maintain continuity and unlock synergies within the 1882 ecosystem
- Represent the venture to investors, regulators, partners, and industry stakeholders

Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Management, or related field
- MBA or equivalent postgraduate degree preferred
- Preferably 10–15 years of experience in solar, battery storage, EV charging, other distributed energy solutions or or other adjacent sectors
- Proven leadership experience building or scaling an early-stage business or platform, with direct accountability for performance, execution, and growth outcomes
- Proven leadership experience in capital raising, project finance, or structured energy transactions, with direct accountability for strategy, execution, and stakeholder management
- Exposure to Southeast Asian energy markets advantageous
