Better Co is a boutique consulting firm based in Hong Kong that specializes in SEA Market Expansion, Project Management, and Implementation. 

This role is In partnership with a learning and development startup in Malaysia to work on a new collaboration in the Philippines - with potential future expansion into Singapore, Thailand, and Hong Kong. 

We are currently looking for a proactive Entrepreneur-in-Residence to lead a special project around enabling and empowering young entrepreneurs with the skills, mentorship, and resources to set up and operate their first startup.You will lead a project and potential business from 0 to 1 conducting market research, business planning, and execution, working closely with our partner team to design and improve relevant programs.

We envision this opportunity as a project by and for students and aspiring startup founders that can be taken on in parallel with other commitments. Entrepreneurial and startup-oriented fresh graduates or current students are highly encouraged to apply. 

Job Description

Ideal candidate

Student or fresh graduate that aspires to start their own startup someday. Someone early in their career, who experiences challenges finding sufficient, relevant resources to actually start a business. Some questions you may think about but don't know who or where to find someone knowledgeable to ask:

• How do I find co-founders
• Where do I find investors
• What should I include in my pitch deck to investors
• How do I make a business plan
• How do I set up a business entity in the Philippines 
• How do I expand outside the Philippines and where should I expand first 

You don't need a perfect background — you need to be sharp, get things done, and be honest about what you don't know. This suits someone curious and passionate about helping students and first-time founders who've lacked exposure to startups and resources to confidently take their first steps into entrepreneurship.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market research and lead data-gathering initiatives to understand and validate the needs and challenges of the identified opportunity
• Help shape business plans, structure, and go-to-market approach for the Philippines
• Collaborate with stakeholders, partners, mentors, and internal teams to lead project through to completion
• Lead regular project updates and presentations to stakeholders

Qualifications and Characteristics

• Entrepreneurial spirit, passion for startups and building businesses, teams, processes, and workflows from the ground up
• A genuine passion for enabling entrepreneurship among students and young professionals
• Previous project management experience in student organizations, internships, or volunteer work
• Exceptional students or fresh Graduates from top-tier schools are encouraged to apply
• Familiarity with productivity tools (Google Workspace, chat apps, and, project management platforms)
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Thrives in ambiguity, eager to learn, and comfortable with trying new things, making mistakes, and iterating quickly
• Can work independently with minimal supervision
• Can speak and write English fluently
