Your Opportunity
As a Solution Architect, you will join a growing team of architecture and solution design resources and drive the technology decisions to enable KPMG to put best of breed products in the market. This will involve your area owning and stewarding new solutions for the firm from feasibility through to deployment and its ongoing operations.
The role includes:
Working within a wider project team, consulting with business owners to establish problem, requirements and assess the feasibility
Defining high level solutions as part of early project sizing and estimation
Creating solution designs that explain the problem, the architecture, how the system works, key considerations for security and data privacy and how it will be delivered
Conduct research into appropriate technologies and patterns to find the best technology solution among all possible to solve the business problem
Work closely with Enterprise Architecture to support definition and ongoing updates of KPMG AU Business Capability Model & support IT capability planning activities
Establishing and providing ongoing maintenance of the CTG Architecture Repository, including contributing to strategic architecture roadmaps, design patterns and domain architectures.
Participate in architecture review board and team showcase sessions, providing guidance and feedback to fellow architects on their designs
Guide and support in house and outsourced engineering teams to ensure everyone knows what they need to do and have the tools to do it and where needed, provide feedback and guidance on how to address issues.
Communicating by tracking risks and issues, reporting on the status of the project and escalating as required.
Help refine and deliver structures and processes to help ensure repeatable processes within our Delivery frameworks

To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills & experience could include:
5+ years experience in solution or enterprise architecture roles
Be able to build relationships quickly with many different stakeholders. You are articulate and intelligent, with solid communication skills.
Proven ability to work autonomously, dealing with conflicting priorities and monitoring own workload in a timely and effective manner.
Thorough understanding of capabilities available from major cloud providers such as Azure & AWS (Azure preferred)
Background in Software engineering with prior use of tooling within the SDLC for code management, infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD.
Working knowledge of relational database systems, NoSQL, Object Oriented Programming and web application development to help guide decisioning of technology and designs.
Excellent understanding of APIs, API-design, and back-end performance considerations.
