The Enterprise Data Quality Officer will be the operational engine that ensures our data remains accurate, consistent, and compliant with established standards. You will partner with business stakeholders to operationalize data quality controls, and drive the resolution of data issues. You will play a key role in enforcing governance policies and supporting the broader data maturity roadmap through rigorous documentation and testing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Governance: Implement and enforce existing MDM policies and data quality standards. Act as the boots on the ground to ensure daily adherence to governance frameworks.
- Roadmap Support: Assist leadership in defining the MDM roadmap and lead the execution of specific data quality projects, coordinating efforts across departments to meet milestones.
- Data Stewardship Coordination: Collaborate with data stewards and owners to facilitate the standardization of definitions and resolution of data quality issues as they arise.
- Documentation Maintenance: Maintain the integrity of enterprise data documentation, keeping the Data Dictionary, Business Glossary, and Data Lineage up-to-date and accurate.
- Quality Monitoring: Track and report on Data Quality KPIs and maturity metrics. Identify trends in data errors and recommend operational fixes to improve reliability.
- Testing & Readiness: execute data profiling and Source-to-Target mapping for integrations.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for data initiatives to ensure operational readiness before release.
- SLA Management: Ensure that daily MDM service requests and data updates are processed within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Has experience in Data Governance, Master Data Management, or Data Quality operations.
- Knowledgeable in MDM principles and how to apply governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA / DMBOK) in a live environment.
- Familiarity with audit requirements and regulatory compliance (e.g., DPA, etc.) and how they impact daily data handling.
- Ability to analyze process gaps and perform root-cause analysis on data errors.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Experience operating within ERP / MDM platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, et.) is an advantage.
- Knowledgeable in reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI) to visualize data quality metrics.
