Job Description

The Enterprise Architect develops, implements, maintains, and continuously improves the enterprise architecture framework and roadmap of the organization. This position orchestrates the planning, governance, and execution of enterprise architecture strategies to ensure that digital transformation initiatives are integrated and aligned with the organization's overall plans and objectives. In addition, this position also ensures that technology solutions are aligned to achieve operational efficiency and technological advancement.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Enterprise Architecture Planning and Design

  • Understands business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state), as well as end-to-end processes, to determine corresponding system solution designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes.
  • Drives integration projects and corresponding strategies in collaboration with business units and development teams.
  • Plans, executes, and manages the integration of new applications into existing systems and software throughout the enterprise.
  • Develops and maintains the Enterprise Integration Architecture blueprint.
  • Defines the principles, guidelines, standards, and patterns to ensure integration-related decisions are aligned with the enterprise's future-state architecture vision.
  • Creates architectural designs to guide and contextualize integration across products, services, projects, and systems.
  • Creates reference architectures focused on detailed design principles, decision points, detailed APIs, major systems, and dependencies between business and ICT.
  • Evaluates the design and implementation of ICT solutions to ensure seamless and effective integration within existing infrastructure.
  • Performs an analysis of the current technology environment to detect critical deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and recommends solutions for improvement. In addition, analyzes the technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise, as well as on the enterprise infrastructure architecture.
  • Guides integration investment decisions based on analysis and evaluation to drive targeted business outcomes.
  • Researches and provides a recommendation on integration products and services.
  • Evaluates results of projects with integrations requirements and provides recommendations based on the findings.
  • Provides deliverables like standard definitions, reference models, and architecture designs to help the architecture review board (ARB) assess the impact of new and ongoing investment on the business and IT landscape.
  • Works in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders to ensure that enterprise architecture initiatives and solutions support the requirements of line organizations and deliver identified business value.
  • Works closely with product owners and EA peers to enable coherent interpretation of the various business processes affected by integration efforts.
  • Works with the business in deriving from the overall roadmap the technology based regulatory budget forecasts and works with various group in the preparation and submission to Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC).
  • Works closely with the project to enhance or improve business processes via integration or, as necessary, minimize the impact of integration on those processes.
  • Collaborates with system owners in the testing of newly integrated software programs and applications.
  • Leads integration testing phase of software and applications under development in order to identify and remedy potential problem areas.
  • Liaises with software developers to address issues in program logic and the interoperability of new applications with existing systems software
  • Acts as a consultant on a broad range of technologies, platforms, and vendor offerings to drive targeted business outcomes.

Enterprise Architecture Governance

  • Provides support in the planning, development, monitoring, and maintenance of the enterprise architecture tool.
  • Performs and manages the integration architecture design compliance review and audit across the lifecycle of a project from RFP development up to project implementation to ensure compliance to approved architecture and technology standards.
  • Manages Technology Standards from its development, periodic review, trend monitoring and scanning, POC and evaluation, periodic release, and creation of programs and projects to implement the changes (invest, maintain, contain, disinvest).
