The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for leading the Engineering Department in managing daily engineering operations, project execution, process improvements, and production support activities within a manufacturing environment. This role oversees engineering projects from planning to implementation, including new model introductions, tooling setup, yield improvement initiatives, and process optimization. The position also plays a key role in defect analysis, quality improvement, production support, and cross-functional coordination to ensure operational efficiency and timely project completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineering Operations & Production Support
- Lead end-to-end engineering projects including new model introduction, tooling setup, and process improvement initiatives
- Develop and manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
- Conduct engineering trials and implement corrective actions based on evaluation results
- Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement yield improvement strategies
- Establish process controls to maintain quality and production standards
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance, Production, and Maintenance teams to resolve engineering and production issues
- Design and improve jigs, fixtures, tooling, and machine modifications to optimize operations
- Monitor engineering KPIs, project progress, and production performance
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, improve quality, and increase efficiency
- Research and recommend engineering innovations, technologies, and process improvements
Team Leadership & Department Management
- Supervise and mentor Engineers, Technicians, and Engineering support staff
- Assign workloads and manage team resources effectively
- Conduct performance monitoring, coaching, and regular progress reviews
- Lead engineering meetings and coordinate cross-functional activities
- Prepare weekly and monthly engineering reports and KPI summaries
- Support department planning and operational improvement initiatives

Qualifications:
Educational Requirement
Bachelor's degree in:
- Industrial Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- or related engineering field
Work Experience:
- At least 5 years of engineering experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or team lead role
