We're looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the teams building Mosaic's shared technical foundations.

What will you lead

Core Domains brings together three connected areas: Canonical Data and Entity Governance, Connector Platform, Automation and Agentic AI. These capabilities help our Operations teams build faster, integrate reliably and deliver customer outcomes without repeatedly solving the same technical problems.

You'll lead one to two teams and work closely with our Technical Product Manager, Product Design, CTO and other Engineering leaders. You'll own the engineers in your care, delivery execution and the quality and health of the systems your teams operate.

This is a hands-on leadership role. You won't be expected to out-code your senior engineers, but you will stay technically close enough to review important work, guide architectural decisions, pair on difficult problems and contribute where it matters.

What you'll do

• Lead, develop and grow engineers across one to two teams.
• Create reliable planning, delivery and unblock practices.
• Own production readiness, reliability, observability and technical debt.
• Guide decisions across APIs, events, data models, integrations, identity and distributed systems.
• Partner with Product and Design to shape scope, priorities and technical trade-offs.
• Establish strong engineering practices for automation and production agentic AI.
• Communicate complex decisions clearly across Engineering, Product, Operations and leadership.

What you'll bring

• Eight or more years in software engineering, including two to three years managing engineers.
• Experience leading platform, data, integration, workflow or shared-capability teams.
• Strong technical credibility in complex production systems.
• A record of developing engineers and improving delivery without lowering the engineering bar.
• Practical knowledge of event-driven systems, APIs, integrations, data and observability.
• Confidence working across team and domain boundaries.
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools.
• Clear communication, commercial judgement and the ability to simplify complexity.

Elixir/Phoenix experience is valuable, although strong experience in Ruby, Python, Node or a comparable backend environment can translate well. React and TypeScript experience is also useful.

Bonus points for experience with data governance, connector platforms, agentic systems, logistics or another complex integration-heavy industry.
