Reports To: General Manager
Role Summary
The Engineering Manager leads the design, development, and continuous improvement of switchgear products while driving engineering excellence, operational efficiency, and cost optimization. This role oversees engineering teams, ensures compliance with industry standards, and partners with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, competitive products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the engineering team to achieve performance and business goals.
- Oversee product design, costing, quality, and engineering improvements.
- Drive value engineering, process optimization, and cost-reduction initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with Production, Fabrication, Sales, and other departments to support product development and manufacturing objectives.
- Resolve technical issues, manage project timelines, and improve factory performance.
- Establish KPIs, monitor results, and develop future engineering leaders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 10 years of experience in electrical design, automation, switchgear, or manufacturing engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years in a managerial role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of switchgear systems, CAD, PLC, and VFD applications.
- Experience in project management, budgeting, and resource planning.
- Strong leadership, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
