The Role
The Project Implementation Specialist implements, coordinates, and delivers assigned engineering projects given by the Project Manager or the Project Engineer. The role partners with project engineers and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., operations, quality, safety, procurement, and external contractors) to ensure projects are executed on time and in full (OTIF), within approved budget, and in full compliance with engineering standards, SHE requirements, and applicable regulations.
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Project planning & delivery: Implement project plans (scope, milestones, schedule, resources) and supervise execution to deliver OTIF outcomes.
- Project scope note: Projects may include new product launches, capability/capacity programs, new technology deployments, and equipment/facility upgrades for SHE, quality, efficiency, and cost. Routine maintenance activities are out of scope unless part of an approved project.
- Cross-functional coordination: Coordinate inputs to define project requirements and deliverables, including User Requirement Specifications (URS) where needed.
- Commissioning & handover: Coordinate commissioning readiness and handover to operations/asset owner, including training and acceptance documentation.
- Design review & standards: Interpret drawings/specifications and raise technical issues with Project Engineers and contractors; ensure compliance with engineering standards, SHE and quality requirements.
- ICMS Early Equipment Management (EEM) & Early Product Management (EPM): Implement relevant ICMS steps to enable vertical start-up, safe and quality-friendly design, and knowledge capture; ensure early involvement of operations and maintenance in design reviews and commissioning readiness.
- 8.2 Technical risk management: Support technical risk assessment discussions with stakeholders (operations, R&D, quality) and represent Engineering in Technical Risk Assessment (TRA) to ensure actions are tracked to closure.
- Site/construction supervision: Monitor installation activities to ensure adherence to approved drawings, method statements, specifications, and safety requirements; coordinate contractors/suppliers to maintain smooth workflow and minimize disruption to operations; drive timely closure of punch lists and defects.
- Procurement, cost control & capex governance: Monitor budgets and conducts forecasting, and capex reporting; ensure compliance with procurement/capex/payment processes; create PR/PO requirements with Project Engineers; contribute to procurement packages and technical evaluations (e.g., RFP, TRL, NTP).
- SHE, sustainability & information security: Ensure compliance with SHE standards, legal requirements, and company policies across design and execution; support risk assessments and enforce controls to prevent incidents; protect confidential site information (layouts, technologies, capacities, financial and capitalization data) and follow information security requirements.
- Documentation, governance & reporting: Maintain complete project records and compliance evidence; create/manage key documents and approvals (Capex proposal docs, URS, RFP packages, Project Network, PPP, TRL, NTP, MOC); prepare regular progress updates and ensure audit-ready documentation.
- Post-implementation review: Conduct Site Acceptance Tests (SAT); capture lessons learned and apply improvements to standards, methods, and contractor performance.
We're Looking For Someone Who
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial) or a related field.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word);
- Proficient in Marlin Investment System, creation of WBS process, creation of PR/PO in Coupa, budget monitoring in SAP
Essential
Experience Required
- 2-3 years of project implementation experience in FMCG, manufacturing, construction, or related industries (flexible based on capability and project complexity).
- Exposure to project delivery across design, execution, commissioning, and handover; contractor coordination and site supervision.
- Budget tracking and capex governance experience (estimating, forecasting, spend control, and reporting).
- Knowledgeable in asset management (i.e., asset registry, asset depreciation, asset disposal)
Preferred / Desirable
- Experience delivering equipment installation/start-up and commissioning using ICMS EEM practices.
- Experience with SAT management and structured punch list closure.
- Experience in asset management tools.

- Maintenance principles and best practices (working knowledge).
- Strong knowledge of engineering/construction methods, materials, and applicable regulations/standards.
- Ability to interpret engineering designs and drawings; familiarity with CAD tools is an advantage.
- Budget management (fully operational), including capex governance, forecasting, and spend control.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork; able to work effectively with internal stakeholders and third parties.
- Comfortable working under pressure to meet deadlines while maintaining safety and quality.
- Language: fluent in spoken and written English and local language, as applicable.
