Job Responsibilities
1. Develop market trading models for the company's energy storage, wind power, solar PV, and other power assets, including analysis of WESM spot market and ancillary services revenue mechanisms. 2. Analyze and forecast spot electricity prices, ancillary service auction results, line losses, and degradation factors, and establish a closed-loop investment evaluation framework. 3. Lead or support commercial contract negotiations with Philippine RESs, off takers, and other counterparties, and design as well as implement contract structures such as Tolling Agreements, PPAs, and Virtual PPAs. 4. Conduct research on power market policies and changes in WESM and ancillary services rules, and regularly produce professional analysis and insight reports to support the company's investment and site selection decisions. 5. Translate local market practices and cutting-edge theories into standardized revenue models and best-practice operational guidelines for the team. 6. Participate in the evaluation of new business opportunities and new regional markets in Southeast Asia, and contribute to the formulation and execution of commercial competitive strategies.
Job Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Power Systems, Electrical Engineering, Energy Economics, Finance, or related fields. A Master's degree or above is a plus. 2. At least 5 years of relevant experience in the Philippine or Southeast Asian power market, spot trading, market analysis, or related areas, with familiarity in energy storage and renewable energy project businesses. 3. In-depth understanding of the Philippine WESM, ancillary services, and trading mechanisms such as PPAs and hedging structures, with the ability to independently build revenue models. 4. Strong knowledge of contract structures and negotiation logic for PPAs, Tolling Agreements, and similar arrangements, with practical experience in mitigating risks related to market volatility and executing projects successfully. 5. English proficiency as a working language, with the ability to communicate fluently with local business partners, joint venture parties, and international teams. Chinese and/or Filipino language skills are preferred. 6. Clear logical thinking, strong cross-functional coordination and communication skills, and excellent presentation and reporting capabilities. 7. Candidates with hands-on experience and a proven track record in leading IPPs, IEMOP, consulting firms, or electricity retail companies will be preferred.
