We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer specializing in Energy Audits with strong expertise in steam systems to join our technical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and optimizing the performance of boilers, steam distribution networks, condensate recovery systems, and related process utilities to improve energy efficiency and sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed energy audits focusing on steam generation, distribution, and utilization systems.
- Evaluate boiler efficiency, combustion performance, and fuel consumption.
- Inspect and assess steam traps, condensate recovery systems, and insulation for performance losses.
- Identify opportunities for energy savings and operational improvements and prepare technical reports with quantified results and recommendations.
- Support implementation of energy conservation projects such as waste heat recovery, blowdown heat utilization, and automation upgrades.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 50001, ISO50002, DOE energy efficiency standards, and local environmental regulations.
- Work collaboratively with plant operations, maintenance, and management teams to sustain long-term energy performance improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (licensed engineer preferred).
- Minimum 35 years of experience in energy auditing, steam systems, or boiler operation and maintenance.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and steam system design.
- Experience with measurement instruments such as flue gas analyzers, flow meters, and temperature sensors.
- Proficiency in data analysis using MS Excel or other energy audit tools.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
Preferred Skills (Advantage)
- DOE -accredited Energy Auditor / Energy Manager certification.
- Experience in industrial utilities (food, beverage, chemical, or manufacturing sectors).
- Familiarity with steam system
