Role Description

This is an on-demand remote role for an Employment Lawyer with knowledge of Canadian law. The Employment Lawyer will provide expert legal advice and representation on matters related to employment law, including drafting and reviewing employment contracts, addressing labor disputes, and representing the company in employment tribunals. Additionally, this role involves ensuring compliance with labor regulations across various regions, conducting risk assessments, and advising on regulatory changes that impact the company's workforce policies.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Labor and Employment Law, including handling labor disputes and familiarity with employment tribunal proceedings
• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment contracts
• Strong knowledge of employment-related legal frameworks in Canada
• Detail-oriented with excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities
• Ability to work remotely and collaborate with a global team
• Degree in Law (J.D. or equivalent) and relevant bar admission or license
• Experience in navigating cross-jurisdictional employment law issues is a plus
