The Employee Relations Manager serves as a strategic partner to business leaders while leading employee relations initiatives. This role balances proactive HR partnership with hands-on management of employee relations cases, ensuring a fair, compliant, and high-performing work environment.
- Partner with business leaders to align HR strategies with organizational goals and operational requirements
- Provide guidance on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management initiatives
- Support performance management processes, including coaching, feedback, and development planning
- Drive employee engagement and culture-building initiatives across the organization
- Serve as the primary point of contact for complex employee relations (ER) issues
- Handle grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution cases in a fair and consistent manner
- Conduct workplace investigations (e.g., misconduct, harassment, policy violations) and recommend appropriate actions
- Ensure consistent and fair application of company policies and procedures
- Manage and oversee criminal case handling and coordination with relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Handle labor-related cases, including those filed with NLRC and DOLE, ensuring proper documentation, representation, and resolution
- Partner closely with Legal and HR teams on high-risk or sensitive cases to mitigate organizational risk
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all ER cases and actions taken
- Oversee clinic operations to ensure efficient delivery of employee healthcare services and compliance with company standards
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws, occupational health and safety regulations, and company policies
- Lead and manage a team, providing direction, coaching, and performance management to ensure effectiveness and accountability
- Deliver training to managers on employee relations, workplace conduct, and performance management
- Support leadership capability building in handling employee concerns and people-related challenges
Minimum of 3–4 years of relevant experience in:
- Employee relations
- NLRC and DOLE case handling
- Clinic operations management
- Team management / people leadership
- Must be BOSH / OSH Certified
- Strong knowledge of Philippine labor laws and employee relations practices
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and high-risk cases with professionalism and discretion
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills
