The Employee Relations Associate is responsible for providing day-to-day support in handling employee concerns, workplace issues, disciplinary matters, and HR-related cases across restaurant and food service operations. The role ensures that employee concerns are properly documented, addressed, and escalated when necessary, while supporting the consistent implementation of company policies and procedures.
The position works closely with Restaurant Managers, Operations Leaders, and the HR team to promote a positive, fair, and compliant workplace environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Employee Relations Support
- Receive and document employee concerns, complaints, and workplace issues.
- Assist in handling employee relations cases involving attendance, behavior, performance, workplace conduct, and policy violations.
- Conduct initial fact-finding and gather relevant information and documentation.
- Assist in employee interviews and discussions related to ER cases.
- Escalate complex or sensitive cases to the appropriate HR/ER leader.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee information and case records.
Disciplinary & Documentation:
- Assist in preparing incident reports, notices, memoranda, and other employee relations documents.
- Monitor and track disciplinary cases to ensure proper documentation and timely action.
- Assist in the implementation of corrective and disciplinary actions in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure employee records and ER documentation are complete and properly maintained.
Restaurant/Store Support:
- Coordinate with Restaurant Managers and Operations teams regarding employee concerns and workplace issues.
- Conduct regular store visits or employee check-ins, when required.
- Assist in identifying recurring employee concerns within assigned stores or locations.
- Support HR initiatives focused on employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture.
- Help communicate HR policies and procedures to frontline employees.
HR Compliance & Administration:
- Assist in ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable labor regulations.
- Maintain accurate ER trackers, reports, and employee case files.
- Prepare basic reports on employee concerns, disciplinary cases, attendance issues, and other ER-related trends.
- Support internal HR audits and compliance activities.
- Perform other HR-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of experience in HR, Employee Relations, HR Operations, or a related function.
- Experience in food service, restaurant, retail, hospitality, or other high-volume operations is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR policies.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Able to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced, multi-site restaurant environment.
- Willing to travel to assigned stores or locations when required.
