Job Description

Human Nature (Gandang Kalikasan, Inc.), is currently the leading brand of natural & organic cosmetics and personal/home care products in the country today. More than being known for our world-class products, we are primarily a social enterprise driven by the core philosophy of Pro-Philippines, Pro-Poor, and Pro-Environment, seeking to inspire more businesses to better serve society. Our products showcase the quality and ingenuity of 100% Philippine-made products, and our company operates to bring quality life to the poor.

Human Nature is a Christian company that seeks to effectively shepherd and support our employees towards fullness of life. This means far more than just enabling them to do well at their work, since many people fall into financial bondage through high-interest loans or simply poor financial planning, regardless of their salary level. Jesus came to set the captives free, and this is our dream for all our colleagues.

We are seeking a mission-driven Employee Financial Empowerment Advisor to join our team and play a vital role in improving the financial well-being of our employees. This unique position is dedicated to counseling and equipping employees at all levels, from rank-and-file to executive, on personal financial matters, with an emphasis on budgeting, navigating unforeseen financial challenges, and achieving lasting freedom from debt.

The ideal candidate is not only financially knowledgeable but also compassionate, with experience serving individuals from lower- to middle-income backgrounds, especially those with limited access to traditional financial services. A background in microfinance, community development, or grassroots financial literacy programs is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • One-on-One Financial Counseling: Provide confidential, individualized guidance to employees on managing personal finances, evaluating loan options, and reducing debt.
  • Financial Education Workshops: Design and lead group sessions on budgeting, credit management, loan literacy, and debt repayment strategies.
  • Loan & Credit Review Support: Help employees understand and assess the terms of bank loans, payday loans, credit cards, or other financial products to make informed decisions.
  • Customized Debt Repayment Planning: Partner with employees to create realistic repayment plans based on income, expenses, and long-term goals.
  • Budget Coaching: Support employees in creating sustainable monthly budgets aligned with their financial goals.
  • Resource Connection: Refer employees to the company's interest-free loans, reputable community resources, or other assistance programs when appropriate.
  • Impact Tracking: Measure and report on improvements in employee financial health through anonymized data and feedback.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Social Work, Public Administration, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial counseling, financial education, or community finance.
  • Proven experience working in an NGO or with underserved populations or lower-income communities; microfinance or nonprofit financial education experience preferred.
  • Strong understanding of consumer banking products, credit systems, interest calculations, and debt management tools.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and cultural competency skills, including fluency in Tagalog.
  • Empathy, discretion, and a nonjudgmental approach to sensitive financial matters.
  • Certification in financial counseling or coaching (e.g., AFC, FFC, CFP, or equivalent) is a plus.

What We Offer:

  • A mission-driven workplace that values equity and employee well-being
  • Opportunities to make a direct impact on your colleagues lives
  • Supportive team environment with professional development opportunities
  • Competitive Compensation and Benefits (Performance Incentive, 13th Month Pay, HMO & Life Insurance Coverage)*
