About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Benefits Administration Specialist to support employee benefits operations for US-based clients. This role plays a critical part in managing enrollments, renewals, carrier communications, reporting, and benefit administration platforms.
The ideal candidate has experience working with employee benefits, carrier portals, enrollments, eligibility management, and benefits administration systems. Success in this role requires strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
This is a full-time night shift position supporting clients and partners across the United States. Candidates must be comfortable working during US business hours.
Responsibilities
- Support annual renewals by obtaining renewal options, census data, utilization reports, and claims summaries.
- Prepare and submit RFPs to carriers and General Agents (GAs).
- Maintain carrier, GA, and sales team communications regarding renewal options.
- Create professional client presentations using PowerPoint or Canva.
- Prepare carrier applications, enrollment packets, employee guides, and benefit materials.
- Process enrollments, eligibility changes, additions, and terminations.
- Prepare Broker Compensation Notices and document activities within AgencyBloc.
- Assist employees with ID card requests and eligibility discrepancies.
- Monitor Evidence of Insurability (EOI) requirements and follow up on pending approvals.
- Research providers, prescription medications, and benefit coverage details.
- Generate claims, utilization, and ACA-related reports.
- Obtain and upload self-funded client funding requests and invoice statements.
- Build and maintain records within Employee Navigator and other benefits administration systems.
- Resolve 834/EDI discrepancies by coordinating with carriers and enrollment platforms.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum 2 years of employee benefits, benefits administration, or insurance operations experience.
- Experience processing enrollments, eligibility updates, and terminations.
- Experience working directly with carrier portals.
- Experience using Employee Navigator or similar benefits administration platforms.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Experience using AgencyBloc.
- Experience supporting self-funded benefit plans.
- Familiarity with ACA reporting requirements.
- Experience resolving 834/EDI file discrepancies.
- Experience working with TPAs, PBMs, and General Agents.
Schedule Requirement
This role supports US-based clients and requires availability during US business hours. Candidates must be willing and able to work permanent night shifts.
