Reporting Line

Human Resources Director

Primary Responsibilities

  • Perform specialized tasks in the delivery of Employee and Labor Relations services.
  • Works closely with Employee and Relations Manager, HR Director, and Managing Director when it comes to decision-making and assessment of the case.
  • Supervises and assists HR and other departments in solving labor and employee relations issues.
  • Supervises Management Systems under Human Resources (Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy)

Employee Discipline

  • Administers and supervises and oversees processes for review and resolution of employee grievances.
  • Supervises and oversees end-to-end process of investigation.
  • Administers and supervises administrative hearings.
  • Close coordination with the Company lawyer for assessment of the case.

Advises division leaders and employees on sensitive labor and employee relations matters, including grievance and arbitration procedures, performance issues, and disciplinary actions, counseling, or any dispute

  • Advises and assists division leaders in identifying employee relations issues and determining the appropriate course of action.
  • Trains division leaders about the provision of the Labor Code of the Philippines, and possible legal implications including conducting workshop and guidance.
  • Attends to an external complaint such as SENA cases, monitors NLRC cases with close coordination with the Company lawyer.
  • Oversees CBA negotiation

Management Systems

  • Supervises compliance of the Human Resources and General Support Services team with the requirement of management systems.
  • Audit and raise Crystal report for identified non-compliance with the requirements of the management system or internal process of HR and GSS.
  • Oversees Risk and Opportunities Assessment, Risk Assessment for Health and Safety, Environmental Aspects, Competency Matrix of HR and GSS.
  • Oversees and gives support to the Clinic Management such as checking medical supplies, and replenishment of first aid kits with the Compensation and Benefits team.
  • Conducts safety training as mandated and supervises compliance with the environmental training topics released monthly by the National Management Systems.
  • Attends monthly meetings with National Management System and Operational Integrity team.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of either BS in Political Science, BS Psychology, or any Science or Business course
  • At least 3-4 years Employee and Labor Relations experience.
  • Fosters professional, good working relations.
  • Amenable to travel site to site (whenever necessary)
  • Exposure in handling labor unions is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated strength in regulatory compliance.
  • Preferably with extensive knowledge of the Philippine Labor Code and its implementing guidelines
  • Comprehensive knowledge in policy making.
  • Familiarity with the legal aspects of Human Resource Management
  • Maintain high level of confidentiality.
  • Highly collaborative and motivated
  • Uphold a strict level of confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to attend to administrative requirements on a reasonable amount of time.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Above average knowledge and skills in MS Office particularly in Word, Excel and Outlook Express
