Cost
You'll Be Responsible For:
- Leads feasibility, cost planning and final cost plan presentation, applying value management from project outset.
- Advises on procurement strategy, oversees tender processes and prepares robust contract documentation.
- Manages cost control, valuations, reporting and final accounts, ensuring effective commercial governance.
- Leads teams and stakeholders, driving performance, continuous improvement and sustainable, low‑carbon outcomes.
You'll Need To Have:
- Degree in quantity surveying/cost management; MRICS or equivalent preferred.
- Proven cost planning, estimating and contract knowledge across delivery environments.
- Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Digitally competent, analytical, with understanding of risk, sustainability and industry best practice.
Commercial
You'll Be Responsible For:
- Leads and develops commercial teams, ensuring structures, governance and capabilities deliver excellence.
- Manages claims, variations and client applications, including invoice approvals and IPC issuance.
- Oversees contractual correspondence, consultant costs and compliance with commercial and legal frameworks.
- Builds strong client and supply chain relationships, supporting collaboration and sustainable, low‑carbon delivery.
You'll Need To Have:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying/Commercial Management; MRICS/CIOB, CSCS and SMSTS preferred.
- Strong commercial acumen, financial management and risk mitigation expertise.
- Proven contract knowledge, variation measurement and construction delivery understanding.
- Effective communicator and negotiator, experienced in stakeholder engagement and promoting best practice.
Estimating
You'll Be Responsible For:
- Leads estimating teams across portfolios, ensuring robust cost planning and adherence to procedures.
- Manages measurement, benchmarking and quality assurance to deliver accurate, reliable estimates.
- Presents complex data, risk models and insights, advising stakeholders on options and outcomes.
- Collaborates with leadership and project teams, supporting informed decisions and sustainable, low‑carbon delivery.
You'll Need To Have:
- Relevant degree with expertise in estimating, construction costs and sector knowledge.
- Strong capability in measurement, cost modelling, procurement and contract frameworks.
- Advanced Excel, estimating tools and BIM proficiency, with commercial awareness.
- Proven stakeholder management, collaboration and use of innovative technologies in delivery.
Quantity Surveying
You'll Be Responsible For:
- Manages subcontract packages from procurement to final account, ensuring effective commercial governance.
- Leads tendering, procurement of materials and administration of subcontract processes.
- Implements cost control, change management and risk/opportunity reporting to protect margins.
- Drives value through cost efficiencies, collaboration and sustainable, low‑carbon project delivery.
You'll Need To Have:
- Degree in quantity surveying/commercial management; MRICS or equivalent preferred.
- Strong commercial reporting, cost control systems and contract management expertise.
- Effective communication, stakeholder engagement and client relationship management skills.
- Proficient in MS Office, with planning, problem‑solving and value engineering capability.
