Job Description

The Medical City Iloilo is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Emergency Room (ER) Staff Nurse who will play a crucial role in delivering prompt, safe, and high-quality nursing care to patients with urgent and life-threatening conditions. This role supports rapid assessment, immediate interventions, and coordinated emergency response in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentaligned with our commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

What's the Role All About

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Provide immediate and comprehensive nursing care to patients presenting with medical, surgical, and traumatic emergencies in the Emergency Room.

Perform rapid triage, patient assessment, and prioritization based on acuity and established emergency protocols.

Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, oxygenation, and overall patient condition throughout ER stay.

Administer emergency medications, IV therapies, fluids, and blood products as prescribed.

Assist physicians during emergency procedures, trauma care, and resuscitation efforts.

Respond swiftly and effectively to medical emergencies, including participation in life-saving interventions and code responses.

Ensure accurate, complete, and timely documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Maintain strict adherence to infection control standards, patient safety guidelines, and ER protocols.

Provide compassionate, patient- and family-centered care, including clear communication, education, and emotional support.

Qualifications

Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PRC license.

Preferably with at least one (1) year of experience in Emergency Room, ICU, or Critical Care settings.

BLS and ACLS certification required; TNCC or PALS certification is an advantage.

Proficient in emergency procedures, trauma management, and cardiac monitoring.

Skilled in clinical documentation and use of electronic medical record systems.

Willing to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity emergency care environment.
