Job Description

Job Objective:

Responsible for planning, executing, optimizing, and scaling high-performing B2B email marketing campaigns that generate qualified leads, nurture prospects, and drive revenue growth. Ensures strong deliverability performance, proper email infrastructure setup, compliance with global data privacy regulations, and alignment with revenue operations and business objectives.

Job Responsibilities (Scope & Functions)

Oversee the development, execution, and optimization of B2B email marketing campaigns supporting lead generation and pipeline acceleration.

Develop multi-touch campaigns including cold outreach, nurture sequences, re-engagement flows, and account-based email programs.

Design segmentation strategies based on buyer personas, intent signals, firmographics, and behavioral triggers.

Monitor and optimize campaign performance through KPI analysis (open rates, CTR, conversions, ROI).

Develop and execute A/B testing frameworks to continuously improve campaign effectiveness.

Maintain database hygiene, list quality, and deliverability standards to minimize bounce rates and spam complaints.

Lead email deliverability initiatives, including inbox placement optimization, sender reputation management, and performance monitoring.

Manage and support SMTP configuration, email infrastructure setup, and deliverability-related technical requirements.

Analyze email marketing metrics and translate insights into actionable optimization strategies.

Ensure compliance with email marketing best practices and applicable regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CCPA, CASL).

Collaborate with Revenue Operations and Sales teams to align campaigns with pipeline and revenue objectives.

Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support broader marketing initiatives and growth strategies.

Team Management & Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop email marketing specialists to ensure high-quality output and performance accountability.

Oversee workload prioritization, campaign timelines, and execution standards.

Provide ongoing coaching and training on email best practices, optimization, and deliverability.

Foster a data-driven, results-oriented team culture focused on continuous improvement.

Job Skills / Technical Competencies

Strong expertise in email marketing platforms (e.g., Ongage, Eloqua, Marketo, Act-On, and similar tools).

Strong knowledge of email deliverability, SMTP setup, email authentication protocols, and infrastructure configuration.

Hands-on experience with sender reputation management, inbox placement optimization, and bounce/spam mitigation strategies.

Knowledge of landing page development (HTML, basic scripting, front-end fundamentals).

Advanced Excel proficiency (formulas, reporting; macros preferred).

Strong analytical and performance optimization skills.

Strong understanding of nurture campaign design and lifecycle marketing.

Strong working knowledge of global email and data privacy regulations, including GDPR, CAN-SPAM, CCPA, and CASL.

Strong knowledge of statistical analysis and data interpretation to evaluate campaign performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 5 years of managerial or team leadership experience in email marketing or digital marketing.

Proven experience in B2B email marketing, campaign strategy, and performance optimization.

Demonstrated experience in deliverability management, SMTP/email infrastructure setup, and compliance with privacy regulations.
