Job Description
Remote | Full-Time | Long-Term Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Email Marketing & Automation Manager to take ownership of the day-to-day execution, optimization, and continuous improvement of our email marketing and CRM program.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can move comfortably between creative, technical, and analytical work—you'll build campaigns, design emails, create automated customer journeys, manage segmentation, troubleshoot workflows, analyze performance, and use those insights to improve results.
What You'll Do- Build and launch promotional, editorial, nurture, and lifecycle email campaigns
- Design polished, responsive emails and maintain reusable templates
- Build, test, document, and troubleshoot automated customer journeys
- Manage CRM lists, tags, custom fields, segments, exclusions, and audience rules
- Monitor deliverability, list health, and sender reputation
- Analyze campaign performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Run A/B tests and optimize messaging, creative, segmentation, and automations
- Write and edit email copy, including subject lines, headlines, CTAs, and promotional messaging
- Use AI tools to improve productivity, personalization, testing, and campaign production
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing, CRM, lifecycle marketing, or marketing automation
- Proven experience building multi-step automations and customer journeys
- Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, tagging, and CRM data
- Experience with platforms such as ActiveCampaign, Klaviyo, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Braze, Iterable, or Customer.io
- Ability to analyze email performance and turn data into actionable improvements
- Strong visual/design sense and experience with Canva, Photoshop, Figma, or similar
- Strong copywriting and editing skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and QA discipline
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of the email marketing function
Builder: You enjoy getting into the platform, building campaigns and automations, troubleshooting workflows, and making systems work.
Marketer: You think about the audience, offer, message, timing, conversion, and customer journey—not simply whether an email was sent.
Optimizer: You look at the data, identify weak points, test improvements, and continuously make the system better.
What We'd Love to SeeWhen applying, please be prepared to share examples of:
- Emails you personally designed and built
- Campaigns you've managed
- Automated sequences or customer journeys you've created
- Before-and-after optimization examples
- Reports or dashboards you've used to evaluate performance
- Tests that produced measurable improvements
