The Brand Operations and Communications Specialist play a pivotal role in delivering consistent, high-performing brand communications while ensuring strong operational execution across marketing channels. This role blends brand operations, communications, and owned-channel management (email and social) to support growth, engagement, and brand consistency across all brands.
Working closely with the Senior Brand Manager, this positionis responsible forcoordinating brand projects, managing email communications, tracking competitors and consumer insights, and ensuring brand standards are upheld across all touchpoints. It is ideal for a detail-oriented, proactive marketer who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Brand Communications (Email & Owned Channels)
- Build, schedule, and launch email campaigns and automated flows (e.g. welcome, cart abandonment, post-purchase, win-back) across all brands.
- Conduct A/B testing on subject lines, content, visuals, and send times to optimise performance.
- Manage audience segmentation based on lifecycle stage, engagement, and purchase behaviour.
- Maintain high deliverability, data accuracy, and compliance with privacy standards.
- Track, analyse, and report on key performance metrics including open rate, click rate, conversion rate, and ROAS.
Brand Operations & Project Management
- Support the Senior Brand Manager in maintaining and updating Asana boards for brand-related projects and campaigns.
- Create and manage recurring workflows and templates to improve efficiency.
- Ensure tasks are clearly scoped, assigned, tracked, and delivered on time.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to reduce delays and improve delivery outcomes.
Competition Tracking & Consumer Insights
- Monitor competitor websites, campaigns, promotions, and product launches.
- Maintain an up-to-date competitor tracker with pricing, positioning, and messaging insights.
- Plan and conduct consumer research and insighting activities.
- Share monthly competitor and consumer insight reports with actionable recommendations.
Brand Audits & Quality Control
- Conduct regular reviews of marketing and communication assets for brand guideline compliance.
- Document inconsistencies and coordinate updates with relevant teams.
- Maintain and update brand compliance checklists.
- Ensure high standards of accuracy, consistency, and user experience across all channels.
Qualification
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field. (A certification in Email Marketing, CRM, or Digital Marketing is an advantage.)
- Minimum of 2+ years of hands-on experience in email marketing, preferably within e-commerce or multi-brand environments.
- Proficient in Klaviyo, HubSpot, or similar email automation platforms.
- Proven experience working with project management platforms (Asana, Trello, Monday.com, ClickUp, etc.).
- Skilled in segmentation, flow automation, A/B testing, and campaign analytics.
- Familiarity with Google Analytics, and experience tracking open rates, click rates, and ROAS.
- Knowledge of HTML/CSS, Zapier, or other integration tools for custom workflows a plus, but not required
- Strong understanding of email KPIs, customer lifecycle marketing, and performance optimization through data insights.
- Ability to craft engaging, on-brand email content that aligns with campaign objectives and audience segments.
- Comfortable working across multiple brands, voice tones, and audience profiles while maintaining quality and consistency.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with creative, digital, and partnership teams.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive in identifying opportunities to improve performance, efficiency, and engagement.
