Role Description. This role is responsible for performing routine and scheduled maintenance on production equipment, machinery, and electrical systems to ensure safe and efficient plant operations. The technician conducts equipment inspections, identifies issues, and carries out corrective repairs to minimize downtime. Daily tasks include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical faults, performing preventive maintenance activities, and documenting work performed. The role also supports equipment installation and commissioning, coordinates with production teams to address technical concerns, and adheres to all safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong background in Equipment Maintenance, including routine servicing and upkeep of industrial machinery.
- Hands-on experience in Preventive Maintenance and Corrective Maintenance to reduce breakdowns and sustain reliable operations.
- Practical knowledge of Electricity, including basic electrical systems, controls, and safety practices.
- Proven Troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
- Vocational diploma, technical certification, or associate degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Electrical, Mechanical, or related field.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment is highly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, electrical diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Strong focus on safety, quality, and housekeeping, with adherence to company policies and regulatory requirements.
- Willingness to work on shifting schedules, weekends, or holidays as required by operations.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional production and engineering teams.
