Job Description

Company Description Summa Water is an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) that provides standard and fully customizable water and wastewater treatment systems for a wide range of applications. In addition to equipment manufacturing, Summa Water operates and manages bulk water projects, using advanced and cost-effective technologies to treat and purify water from various sources at scale. These solutions deliver clean, clear, and potable water at low operational costs, supporting communities and businesses that depend on reliable water supply.

Role Description The Electrician at Summa Water will perform day-to-day electrical installation, maintenance, and repair tasks on water and wastewater treatment systems and bulk water facilities. Responsibilities include wiring and connecting electrical components, inspecting and testing equipment, diagnosing issues, and implementing corrective actions to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operations. The role involves collaborating with engineering, mechanical, and operations teams to support system commissioning, upgrades, and preventive maintenance activities. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Lapu-Lapu, requiring regular presence at project locations and adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in electricity and electrical work, including safe handling of electrical systems and components.
  • Experience in maintenance & repair of industrial or commercial electrical equipment, preferably in water or utility environments.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical issues, using diagnostic tools and interpreting technical documentation and schematics.
  • Background in electrical engineering principles as applied to control panels, motors, pumps, and automation systems.
  • Vocational or technical certification in electrical installation, maintenance, or related field; licensure as an electrician is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of local electrical codes, safety regulations, and best practices for working around water and industrial equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams, single-line drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Good problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Lapu-Lapu, including occasional extended hours as required by project schedules.
