Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an electrician apprenticeship program
Valid electrician license or certification (as required by jurisdiction)
Proven experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, tools, and safety procedures
Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
Familiarity with local and national electrical codes
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
Good communication and interpersonal abilities
Physical stamina and ability to work in various environments
Attention to detail and commitment to safety
Responsibilities
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and components
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards or defects
Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using test equipment
Ensure all work complies with local and national electrical codes
Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring and fixtures
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
Test electrical systems for continuity, voltage, and resistance
Provide cost and time estimates for electrical projects
Collaborate with contractors and other construction professionals
Maintain tools and equipment in safe working condition
Document work performed and maintain service records
