Electrical Estimator

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Estimator with hands-on experience estimating U.S. commercial electrical construction projects.

This role requires someone who can independently perform electrical takeoffs, analyze plans and specifications, obtain pricing, and prepare accurate and competitive bids.

NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must meet ALL requirements below to be considered:

• 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator
• At least 6 months in electrical construction estimating experience
• Experience using McCormick OR Accubid
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction
• Ability to read and interpret electrical plans, specifications, and single-line diagrams
• Strong English communication skills

McCormick or Accubid experience is REQUIRED and is non-negotiable.

Candidates without hands-on experience using McCormick or Accubid will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform detailed electrical quantity takeoffs
• Estimate conduit, wire, cable, fixtures, panels, switchgear, equipment, controls, and other electrical materials
• Review electrical drawings, specifications, single-line diagrams, and project documents
• Identify scope gaps, missing information, exclusions, and discrepancies
• Obtain and compare material and equipment pricing from vendors
• Review supplier and subcontractor quotes
• Prepare accurate and competitive electrical bids
• Maintain estimating spreadsheets, cost databases, and pricing information
• Complete bids within required deadlines
• Coordinate with the estimating team and project stakeholders

• Electrical distribution
• Power systems
• Site lighting
• Lighting controls
• Branch circuits
• Conduit and wiring
• Panels and switchgear
• Electrical equipment
• Commercial tenant improvements
• Electrical subcontracting
