Position: IN-HOUSE PERSONNEL(ELECTRICIAN AND SAFETY OFFICER)
Location: GOLDEN ABC, HEAD OFFICE - BALINTAWAK, QC
Responsibilities
- Risk Assessment & Hazard ID: Identify electrical hazards like frayed cords, unsafe equipment, and improper wiring through regular site inspections and assessments.
- Policy & Procedure Development: Create and update safety manuals, emergency plans, PPE guidelines, and procedures for working with electricity.
- Training & Education: Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and ensure personnel are competent in safe electrical practices and using safety devices (like RCDs).
- Compliance & Enforcement: Ensure adherence to national and international electrical safety standards (like OSHA, CEA) and internal policies, representing the company with regulators.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the inspection, testing (e.g., PAT testing), tagging, and maintenance of all electrical tools and installations.
- Incident Management: Investigate electrical accidents and near misses, report findings, and implement corrective actions.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records of inspections, tests, training, incidents, and compliance reports for audits.

- Emergency Preparedness: Organizing drills and ensuring readiness for electrical emergencies.
- Liaison: Communicating risks and insights to management and coordinating with other departments and authorities.
